About the Role
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with a hybrid skillset that includes business analysis, customer communication management, and martech delivery. You’ll lead complex, cross-functional projects for enterprise clients, with a strong focus on understanding their communication challenges and translating these into actionable, technology-enabled solutions.
As a trusted partner to our clients, you’ll drive requirements gathering engagements, lead stakeholder workshops, and produce clear and concise business requirement specifications (BRS). You’ll thrive in ambiguity, draw insights from stakeholders, and collaborate across data, digital, and delivery teams to bring communication strategies to lifeâon time and on budget.
This role can be based in Homebush NSW or Richmond/Sunshine VIC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of customer communication management (CCM) projects, including print, direct mail, email, and digital channels.
- Drive requirements discovery through client workshops, interviews, and analysis sessions.
- Own the development of detailed business requirements documents, aligning customer objectives with technical capabilities.
- Act as a bridge between clients, internal teams, and vendors, ensuring clear understanding of scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Monitor project health using best practice project management tools and frameworks (PMBOK or equivalent).
- Work collaboratively with internal developers, analysts, and external suppliers to meet client objectives.
- Provide regular project status reporting, identify and resolve issues, and continuously look for ways to improve delivery processes.
- Contribute to post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned to enhance future engagements.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years in a Project Manager or hybrid PM/BA role, ideally within marketing, data, or technology environments.
- Demonstrated experience in customer communication management technologiesâSmartComms, Quadient Inspire, OpentText or similar platforms is a must.
- Solid understanding of direct mail, essential communications, and regulated customer correspondence.
- Strong background in business analysisâable to extract, interpret and document business needs into structured BRS or functional specs.
- Deep understanding of SDLC, particularly in marketing and communications contexts.
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and resolving complex project challenges.
- Exceptional communication skillsâverbal, written, and visualâfor presenting ideas and influencing outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suiteâWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project along with Netsuite ERP.
Nice to Have
- Experience with digital marketing platforms, martech stacks, or automation tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, Braze, AWS).
- Exposure to data-driven marketing, personalisation engines, or customer journey orchestration.
- Agile or hybrid delivery experience.
